"Feels Cheap, Not Like Real Wood"
I feel stupid for trusting the photos on this one. I ordered it expecting something that looked at least somewhat like painted wood, but in person it feels more like plastic than anything. Maybe it’ll hold up over time, but for the price I really thought it would look more authentic. Disappointing overall...

I ordered the gray thinking it would actually look gray, but what showed up has this weird blueish tone to it. The wording is misleading, and I’m disappointed because it’s not what I expected at all.

"Started wobbling way too soon"
I thought this chair would be a lot sturdier, but after only about two weeks it already wobbles badly. I didn’t even use it that much. Kind of disappointing.

"Checkout was way more frustrating than it should’ve been"
I tried ordering a chair set from Polywood, and I don’t know why, but the site kept freezing right when I got to checkout. I ended up having to re-enter my address and card info twice, which got old really fast. Then the promo code looked like it had applied, but after I submitted the order, the total changed. Not cool. I reached out to customer service, but it took a while to get a response, and they basically just told me to try again later. At that point, I gave up. For furniture that costs this much, I’d expect the ordering process to be a lot smoother

"Not as low maintenance as I expected"
I bought this thinking it was going to be one of those set-it-outside-and-forget-about-it situations. Very peaceful, very easy, very “wow, look at me making practical choices.” Anyway, no. It gets dirty fast, shows pollen like it’s collecting evidence, and water spots seem to appear if the weather even thinks about raining.

I’m sure maybe it’ll hold up over time, which is great, obviously, I’m totally calm about it. But I really wasn’t looking to add “scrub the patio furniture again” to my weekend routine. For what it cost, I expected it to be a lot easier to maintain, so yeah, disappointed

It’s held up for the most part, so it’s not even about the overall durability. The thing is, the scratches started showing up way faster than I expected, which was disappointing.

"Nice chairs, but I expected a bit more"
I picked up a couple of polywood chairs for our patio, and overall they do look really nice. They feel sturdy too, which I appreciate, because they definitely don’t come across as cheap or flimsy. But this is where it got annoying: for the price, I was expecting everything to feel a little more polished. One of the chairs had a rough edge on the arm, and the color was slightly different than what it looked like online. They’re not bad chairs by any means, but for what I paid, they ended up feeling more average than impressive

"Didn’t Hold Up to the Weather"
I really thought these chairs would handle being outside, but after just one rainy season they’ve already faded and started to warp. Kind of disappointing, honestly — I wasn’t expecting them to look brand new forever, but I did expect a little more durability. Not exactly what I’d call weather resistant.

I ordered from polywood.com and ended up needing to do an exchange. I thought it would be straightforward, so maybe I misjudged how easy it was going to be, but the return info was confusing and it took way too much back and forth to figure things out. Customer service responses felt slow and not especially helpful. I kept asking what I was supposed to do next, and it felt like I was only getting partial answers. For the price, I expected a smoother experience. The furniture itself might be fine, and maybe I should’ve looked more closely at the return process before ordering, but the whole exchange left a bad taste. I probably wouldn’t order again

"These chairs clean up okay…"
These chairs clean up okay with a little soap and water. The only thing is, dirt kind of gets stuck in those little grooves here and there, so you have to scrub a bit more than you’d think. Not a huge deal, just a little more work than I was hoping for.

I was disappointed when the furniture showed up. From the photos, I thought it would have a cleaner, more modern look, but in person it felt really bulky and kind of clunky. The colors also looked a lot flatter than I expected, which made the whole set feel less stylish and a bit cheap on my patio. What annoyed me most was the unexpected stress of dealing with it after spending that much money, I thought I was just upgrading my outdoor space, not ending up frustrated with something I don’t even like looking at. Maybe it fits someone else’s taste, but it really didn’t work for me.

"Arrived late but in good shape"
My order showed up later than I expected, which was a little annoying, and the tracking barely updated so I kept having to check it myself. Something about it just felt a bit unclear while I was waiting. At least everything arrived safely and nothing was damaged.

My order from Polywood was mostly right, but one of the chairs showed up in the wrong color. Of course it had to be one of the main pieces, right? Everything else looked good and matched what I picked out online, so that part was fine. Customer service did help me get it sorted out, but it took a bit longer than I was hoping. Not a horrible experience or anything, just frustrating when you’re waiting on patio furniture and want to get everything set up already.

I really wanted to like polywood, and the furniture looks fine, but I kept feeling like I was spending way more than I should for what I got. At these prices, I expected it to feel like a smart long-term buy, not like I might regret tying up that much money in a brand name. It’s not terrible by any means, but I’d rather not risk feeling like I overpaid again. I wouldn’t buy from them next time

"I do like that Polywood uses recycled…"
I do like that Polywood uses recycled plastic and helps keep waste out of landfills. That was one of the main reasons I checked them out in the first place. The furniture also feels like it’s built to last, which is refreshing compared to buying some cheap patio set every couple of years and pretending that’s somehow saving money. That said, for a company that leans heavily into the eco-friendly angle, I was expecting a little more clarity on their overall impact. Things like shipping, the full manufacturing footprint, and what happens to the furniture at the end of its life would be nice to know. It’s a good start, of course, but a bit more transparency wouldn’t hurt
